Hi, I added a section in the existing software page which I called "Bootstrapping the Java Software". https://confluence.slac.stanford.edu/display/hpsg/Installing+HPS+Software#InstallingHPSSoftware-BootstraptheJavaSoftware It covers installing lcsim and hps-java, as well as JAS.
