Follow-up Comment #8, bug #97269 (project xrootd):

Actually, I am having a problem downloading a new git clone of the xrootd git
repo. No matter what I try to access, I can't get a hold of xrootd.git, since
everything is set to a permanent redirect. All of these hang for me:

git clone http://xrootd.cern.ch/repos/xrootd.git
git clone http://xrootd.org//repo/xrootd.git
git clone http://xrootd.slac.stanford.edu/repo/xrootd.git

Note: I think this is because they are all set to redirect to
http://xrootd.cern.ch/cgi-bin/cgit.cgi/xrootd/

Changing it to git:// doesn't help, and https doesn't work.

Maybe this is a dumb question, but what is the right command to actually
clone the git repo?
