URL: <http://savannah.cern.ch/bugs/?98191> Summary: pss.cachelib doesn't work if pss.cache isn't used Project: XROOTD Submitted by: bbockelm Submitted on: 2012-10-15 15:22 Severity: 3 - Normal Priority: 5 - Normal Status: None Privacy: Public Assigned to: abh Originator Email: Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Fixed by commit(s): _______________________________________________________ Details: As a side-effect, pss.cache sets the XRDPOSIX_CACHE environment variable. XrdPosixXrootd::initEnv only calls XrdPosixXrootd::initEnv(char*) if XRDPOSIX_CACHE env var is set. The latter function is what loads the cache object. So, if pss.cache isn't set, then pss.cachelib doesn't work. Can this be fixed? Our particular cachelib will have to re-parse the config file anyway, as the current mechanism for passing parameters is tied to the existing memory cache. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.cern.ch/bugs/?98191> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by LCG Savannah http://savannah.cern.ch/ ######################################################################## Use REPLY-ALL to reply to list To unsubscribe from the XROOTD-DEV list, click the following link: https://listserv.slac.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=XROOTD-DEV&A=1
