Follow-up Comment #15, bug #97585 (project xrootd):
[out of interest I've done a quick search on RedHat's bugzilla, but it
appears that there is no outstanding "bug" on their openssl that would match
our problem. If we have some kind of reproducer, we could use one of the
lab's support contracts to get this treated at somewhat-above-average
priority. A full upgrade to openssl-1.0.1 is rather unlikely, but a targeted
patch might well come through (and would make RH/SL/SLC/CentOS etc happy).
Especially if this could affect some other program(s) as well.. ]
