Hi Doug,
It seems to me that your comments #14 and #16 point to a different issue for
SL6 (for SL5 you have an issue with libXrdLcmaps.so which needs to be
understood).
Do you have (can you get) a stack trace of the crash on SL6?
I will add a notification about the conditional notification.
