I've been doing some additional work involving atomics and had noticed the
same thing (esp. with respect to the return values). I have a few small
patches in a private git feature branch and see if I can't work them in.
Andy did the original implementation, so I'll let him comment on the
AtomicISM issue. For AtomicDTZ, we probably haven't noticed this because of
it's particular use case in the monitoring.
Lukasz - I'm overloaded with travel and other projects until the end of next
week. You can mark it as a blocker, but please do note I won't be able to
address anything for at least a week.
