Follow-up Comment #3, bug #98591 (project xrootd):
The reason this did not work is that the directive
oss.ckslib zcrc32 /usr/lib/libXrcCksCalczcrc32.so
should have been
ofs.ckslib zcrc32 /usr/lib/libXrcCksCalczcrc32.so
You would have gotten a warning about this as the oss knows nothing about
checksums.
Make sure to add the xrootd.chksum directive otherwise checksums will not be
allowed.
The issue of client-side checksums will be resolved today.
