so if you look here, i just changed one line (the assert to a print statement):

and then put it one line here to run the test:

and then magically we get nice output like this in the included pdf file below (the 12th one down).

why don't you get the validation_pipeline running on condor again and put the output to a directory on vleck.  i'll pull the data with the factory scripts and run the validation plots.  that way i think it will be more clear to everyone how the validation framework works.
