Hi Ashutosh,

Thanks for putting this together in an easy-to-ready format!

I am not sure if anyone from CMS got back to you on the "?" parameters, so I forwarded the slides to one of the JetMET experts for comment.

The only other number I had a question on was the track isolation, which is 0.5 for both CMS and ATLAS, but you propose 0.4. I think either value is fine, but just curious what the reason is to pick a value different from both.

Cheers,
Jim

Colleagues,
Before the phone meeting I would like to see if we can settle on the idea of using a "snow mass" detector for the DELPHES fast simulation, derived from a judicious "average" of the ATLAS and CMS detector cards.

In the attached slides are shown the ATLAS and CMS detector parameter values from the card files posted on the snow mass web page (link is in the slides)

As you will see, the differences are second-order effects, and we will eliminate a lot of worthless hassle by using a single "typical LHC Snowmass detector". The slides show a "Snowmass" proposal, TBD

regards,
Ashutosh
