Follow-up Comment #6, bug #100633 (project xrootd): Hi David, Setting this in something like /etc/sysconfig/xrootd *may* work, but the "correct" way to do this on a RHEL system is via /etc/security/limits.d. I say it "may" work because sometimes the init scripts do funny things with PAM sessions and reset your override.
