Dear colleagues,

At the Brookhaven meeting, Chip and I announced standard parameters for accelerators to be studied at Snowmass. For LHC, we announced the energy of 13 TeV,
corresponding to the current full simulation generation being done by ATLAS and CMS.

However, ATLAS and CMS have requested to us that all projections of the LHC capabilities be done using the full energy of 14 TeV.

Chip and I ask you to follow this guidance. Please report your results for Snowmass using 14 TeV as the LHC energy. (The LHC energy has been changed on the EF wiki to reflect this.)

At the moment, some substantial LHC background samples have been generated at 13 TeV. However, we are not yet at the final stage in background generation. Soon, we will
either propose a method to use these 13 TeV samples or (more likely) provide samples at 14 TeV for the final Snowmass analyses and writeups.

Thank you for you patience.

Michael
