Correct internal handling of kXR_wait.
Allow wait callbacks without requiring the protocol to handle the wait.
Implement kXR_write processing as effeciently as possible.
Make sure to keep a shadow copy of the request arguments in case the
request has to be re-issued (internal wait handling).
