Hi Fabrizio, first of all, my apologies for the late answer. I have been away and managed to catch up only now. We haven't pushed the packages to xrootd.org repo, we do not control EPEL. The reason for this is some issues in the OSG setups, due to name conflicts between EPEL and xrootd.org repos. We have not pushed in order not to make things worse, ie. newer packages in xrootd.org comparing to EPEL, with the new OSG release in sight. I will now work on resolving these issues so that both packagings are compatible. The 3.3.2 release (as indicated in the release notes) contains client-side fixes in both the old and the new client. I hope this makes things clearer.
