Hi everybody ... but in particular Andy and Lukasz :) We are thinking of switching to using the new client for our caching-proxy at UCSD. Are we walking into a snake it or we can, more or less +/- a bus, just replace the client instantiation in XrdPosixXrootd: https://github.com/xrootd/xrootd/blob/master/src/XrdPosix/XrdPosixXrootd.cc#L418 There are some configuration parameters that are sent over to the old client via internal xrootd environment .. this is what worries me most.
