Such checks are rather security by obscurity than real security... apart from that the only thing I demanded is either don't check at all... or don't exclude cases that ARE secure.

Like when I set ACLs on the key to have it read by the xrootd user.

"people" => all people who run multiple services requiring grid-certs on one host... since right now... either you have to create copies of the key (which doesn't really increase security btw) or can't simply have multiple different daemons (running with differend eUID/eGIDs) due to xrootd's permission requirements
