I don't add username. It must be proxy server who does that. I also 
double checked I don't alter XrdCl URL in my caching proxy plugin.


For test I made plain xrdcp test on 4 different files:

# xrdcp -f root://xrootd-proxy.t2.ucsd.edu:8111//store/user/alja/data.root .
# xrdcp -f 
root://xrootd-proxy.t2.ucsd.edu:8111//store/user/alja/sample.txt .
# xrdcp -f 
root://xrootd-proxy.t2.ucsd.edu:8111//store/user/alja/xmfar.root .
# xrdcp -f root://xrootd-proxy.t2.ucsd.edu:8111//store/user/alja/mc52.root .


And I see 3 different users in the 
https://amraktad.web.cern.ch/amraktad/mail/conn.log file :

# grep Open conn.log
