Hello hps-software,

I was performing an analysis on 2.2 GeV data as an extension of the
analysis I performed for the 6.6 GeV data earlier, and noticed a bit of an
anomaly. It appears that the beam is angled too strongly toward the
electron side of the detector. If we consider, say, the background hits
above 50 MeV, we can see that the center of the beam seems to be nearly to
the electron edge of the beam hole.

These were generated using

hps-detectors/detectors/HPS-Proposal2014-v4-2pt2/HPS-Proposal2014-v4-2pt2.lcdd
hps-detectors/detectors/HPS-Proposal2014-v5-2pt2/HPS-Proposal2014-v5-2pt2.lcdd

for the V4 and V5 geometries respectively. I used SLIC version 3.1.1 and
GEANT4 version 9.6.1.

Is this an issue with the magnetic field alignment in the geometry? Perhaps
the alignment of the beam in the data files? If it is the latter, how would
I check that?

I have attached the plots I generated for the background for reference. The
naming convention is "CalorimeterHits_XXXX" where XXXX is the energy cut
applied in MeV. Also, as a comparison, I have attached a 6.6 GeV background
plot as well.
