Attendees: Bill, AndyH, Daniel, Serge, Fabrice, Jacek

Serge:
  - mostly done with URSA-related work, switching back
    to LSST
    - reviewing mysqldb wrapper, then CSS (incl client)
and data ingest/loading design on trac
    - then work on data ingest/loading prototype
  - refmatch - best to wait until new qserv structure
is stable and on master branch

Andy:
  - new xrootd client (without the part specifically for LSST)
used for 4 months by CMS, no issues found
  - API (client and server) for LSST done, but not tested
    at all
    - need ~ 3 weeks of dedicated time to fully test/verify
      and tweak
  - busy switching xrootd to C11 now
--> email location of existing version of APIs for LSST
     to qserv-l
  - planning to deliver stable/tested API end of March

Side discussion about C11:
  - useful to get to point where our code compiles,
even if we don't have immediate plans to switch,
to avoid diverging too much, it'll simplify future
    migration

Bill:
  - working on merging his tickets, merged code has issues
with passing tests, most likely because of incorrectly
loaded data (wrong metadata configuration used)
  - starting to work on log4cxx-based logging + python adapter

Daniel:
  - scons all working
  - focusing on xldb report now
  - next: final scons cleanup, documentation, merging with
master (non trivial, 2 months out of sync, and a lot of
fixes are pushed to master now)
  - planning to be ready to push to master branch late January

Jacek:
  - few days spent on xldb report
  - fault tolerance / consistency guarantees in CSS
  - ticket cleanup

Fabrice:
  - a bit delayed/stuck with virtualenv
  - need eups expert to check the code
  - can start working on packaging qserv (new structure)

Outstanding (non-deferred tickets):
  - Fabrice will go through his in the next few days
  - Daniel will go through his in January

Releases:
  - cut release (early January): current prototype
    + 300-node-test fixes + Bill's changes,then
    tag and create branch "stable"
  - then do development on the master, even if we
    temporarily destabilize it
    - January
      - new structure with new build system
      - mysqldb wrapper
    - February
      - integration tests and new packaging system (Fabrice)
      - new logging (Bill)
      - central state system (Jacek)
      - data ingest (Serge)
      - unit testing (Daniel)

Next meeting Jan 9

Happy Holidays!

Jacek
