Thank you all for your kind replies!
I will look into that talk and try to sharpen my questions.

I will surely be attending the workshop. I am still having troubles 
installing the HPS software, I'm encountering problems installing Java 
1.7 in mac os x. I'm looking into that, I am confident I will have all 
set and ready before the workshop.
Yesterday during the meeting I heard that we will be needing a slac 
account, how can we do that?
