Hi,

As per the instructions, you need Maven 3.0 and a Java 1.7 SDK installed. You are using Maven 2 and Java 1.6 so please fix this.
Then we can see if problems remain.

Also, reread this section:

https://confluence.slac.stanford.edu/display/hpsg/Installing+HPS+Software#InstallingHPSSoftware-MavenDependencies

I believe your problem is that you have not dealt with the Maven dependencies properly. That section tells you how to setup
your local installation so that Maven can find this missing resource. The easiest way is putting the lcsim repository into your
settings.xml file (covered in the doc within that section).

Subject: Trying to install hps-software with Eclipse

Dear hps-software team,

I am installing the hps-software using Eclipse. Therefore, I have followed all the steps detailed here:
https://confluence.slac.stanford.edu/display/hpsg/Installing+HPS+Software#InstallingHPSSoftware-ProjectDevelopmentwithEclipse.
Before I installed svn and maven as one can see by the following lines.

>mvn -version
Apache Maven 2.2.1 (rdebian-8)
Java version: 1.6.0_27
Java home: /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk-amd64/jre
Default locale: fr_FR, platform encoding: UTF-8 OS name: "linux" version: "3.2.0-58-generic" arch: "amd64" Family:
"unix"

>charlesg-l@ipnphenp8:~/Bureau/Docs/lcsim$ svn help
usage : svn <sous-commande> [options] [paramètres] Client texte interactif de Subversion, version 1.8.5.

Nevertheless, it does not work for the moment. It is very likely that the first thing I need are the jar files of lcsim but I did not find them, do you know where there are ? In attachment you will find a screenshot that makes me say that.

As we can not comminucate that often (I am in Paris) and in case it is necessary, here is the error message I obtain when running from Eclipse following the instructions.

SLF4J: Failed to load class "org.slf4j.impl.StaticLoggerBinder".
SLF4J: Defaulting to no-operation (NOP) logger implementation
SLF4J: See http://www.slf4j.org/codes.html#StaticLoggerBinder for further details.
