Hi,
I'm running xrootd 3.3.2 on SL6 with the following configuration:

all.export /eos r/w nocheck stage purgeoss.localroot /var/cache/xrootd
frm.xfr.copycmd out /bin/true 0 # do nothing
frm.xfr.copycmd in stats noalloc /usr/share/xrootd/utils/myxrdcp.sh $SRC $DSTfrm.purge.policy * 700G 750G 1m
oss.xfr deny 3h keep 20m 25frm.xfr.copymax 10
xrootd.log all
frm.log all
sec.protocol -d:2 -dlgpxy:3

but the purge daemon is unable to delete files and the filesystem gets filled to 100%.
On /var/log/xrootd/purged.log I get lines like this:

++++++ public free 31.7G (3%) 0 files 0 idle; 718.2G needed
++++++ public free 31.7G (3%) 0 files 0 prgd; 0 freed 718.2G deficit
140121 20:56:18 9461 purge_Purge: Purge cycle ended.

I think that the problem is the missing of file age extended attributes, since if I do a getfattr I don't get nothing. But the filesystem (ext3) is mounted with the user_xattr option and I can manually add extended attributes.

Thanks,
Ivano
