Do you have a compelling reason to do this in C++? I ask because the easiest way to do this is to
use the existing geometry infrastructure that is provided within the lcsim code base. We really
don't have the resources at present to full support such basic utilities outside of that environment.

I am creating a stand alone clustering algorithm in C++ (in addition to our one in java)-does anyone know the easiest way to extract the crystal map (volume location, position->to find nearest neighbors)? Thanks!
