I really want to push this in the system space. Actually, I'd like to make as much as possible be system-managed. I don't think we'll get much pushback from sysadmins on cppunit (which I'm surprised is installed by default on ubuntu... which doesn't even install sshd by default). We might get pushback on java (as this blogger did http://www.jon-webb.com/building-zookeeper-3-4-5-rpms-on-rhel6-or-centos6/ ), but I think we can use the hadoop maneuver ('but hadoop uses java!'). :) -Daniel On 02/14/2014 09:05 PM, Jacek Becla wrote: > Zookeeper c bindings won't compile on RHEL 6 because of missing > cppunit and cppunit-devel (which are present in ubuntu 12.04). > > Any opinions whether we should maintain these packages ourselves, > or require that they are installed in the system space? > > Thanks, > Jacek > > ######################################################################## > Use REPLY-ALL to reply to list > > To unsubscribe from the QSERV-L list, click the following link: > https://listserv.slac.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=QSERV-L&A=1 ######################################################################## Use REPLY-ALL to reply to list To unsubscribe from the QSERV-L list, click the following link: https://listserv.slac.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=QSERV-L&A=1
