I really want to push this in the system space. Actually, I'd like to
make as much as possible be system-managed. I don't think we'll get much
pushback from sysadmins on cppunit (which I'm surprised is installed by
default on ubuntu... which doesn't even install sshd by default).
We might get pushback on java (as this blogger did

), but I think we can use the hadoop maneuver ('but hadoop uses java!'). :)
