Attendees: AndyS, Daniel, Serge, AndyH, Jacek

Serge
  - done with all URSA work, switching to LSST
  - focus in the near term:
    - join syntax
    - refmatch tables
    - css review

Daniel
  - work on chunkInventory
  - playing with mock frameworks
     - K-T's preference: turtle, but not many people use it,
       only few commits
     - hippomock - people behind it seem very passionate
about it. But it is "scary": compiler specific,
relies on internal layout to patch things

AndyS
  - installed & built Qserv, ran simple queries
  - tried Fabrice's scripts, issues w/eups found and reported
  - planning to play more with Fabrice's scripts
  --> discuss automated test w/Jacek

AndyH
  - waiting for Daniel to review recently released code

Jacek
  - added all tasks to jira
  - final tweaks to CSS, see DM-60, DM-61, DM-62, DM-63
    - DM-66 to do, then package all the changes (squash,
      rebase etc) for a review
    - deal with packaging separately
    - deal with more advanced features such as auto-reconnect
      in separate tickets.
  - miscellaneous FYIs and announcements:
    - arranged mtg rooms for Qserv design/hackathon week
for parallel sessions: PM except Friday
    - phone call w/Emmanuel M. (IN2P3) next Wed 10am
  - need a subset of qserv team to join W14 wrap up mtg II
    (in ~2 weeks)
  - planning to switch to module-specific namespaces
    (see DM-250)
  - arranging Fabrice's visit to SLAC for 6 months,
    likely starting Oct 1st ! :)

Packaging Euclidean geometry (see commends in DM-214
for background)
  - sticky point: dependency on Eigen
  - Serge has Eigen "emulator"
  - Eigen sufficient for what we want right now,
but if we want to get fancier with geometry,
    Eigen will become less useful
  - non elegant solution: if Eigen changes infrequently,
perhaps just copy the header file over to our repo?
  - decision: existing Eigen emulator probably covers what
is needed for Qserv, so continue with it for now, if
we discover more work is needed, reconsider and possibly
switch to using Eigen, in which case the dependency issue
wouldn't be a problem any more for Qserv. If we stick with
    Eigen emulator, discuss w/Mario/Robert/Jim/KT

Using jira
  - will try doing weekly sprints, defined each week at our meeting
  - integrating with stash - Daniel volunteers to help if it
makes sense (e.g. lack of appropriate privileges might
    make it too-difficult-to-be-worth-doing by him)
  - many "empty" emails generated by jira, probably due to
    temporary misconfiguration
  - mini hangout tomorrow (Serge, AndyS, Jacek), Jacek will
    share lessons learned

Jacek
