I noticed in November that EcalHitPlots would crash because it tried to modify the style of a plotter region, but the plotter region was a DummyPlotterRegion (which returns a null style). This was happening with some plotters of some drivers and not others, but I just put in checks (SVN rev 46) to make it work.
