Hi, Gabriel.

Shouldn't we only worry about modifying recon code once ecal-recon and ecal-readout-sim are working properly with the new conditions system on the branches? I believe there should be at least one presentation from you to the software group that proves this is the case before anything should be touched in recon. In fact, it would be nice to prove to everyone that the results of the readout simulation are exactly the same as before.

I think we also need to establish that the performance of the new code is acceptable. It is not particularly well optimized in the conditions module, so we should probably figure out exactly how much slower it is than Sho's (relatively fast) implementation and improve the "hot spots" accordingly before forcing everyone to use it.

Subject: To everyone writing hps.org.recon

Hello everybody,

As you may know I am modifying hps-java for it to use the database based conditions. I would like to change only the code that should be updated. So could you indicate me which files in org.hps.recon are not used, please? It will also permit some cleaning on the same time and make the work more efficient.

Thanks a lot,
