Fabrice, Andy So, I am trying to setup things on my laptop, ubuntu 12.04. My system is setup configured fine, e.g., I can run qserv with no problem as long as I run the small ubuntu patch needed for linking. I run: wget http://datasky.in2p3.fr/qserv/distserver-master/newinstall-qserv-6.0.0rc1-master.sh chmod u+x newinstall-qserv-6.0.0rc1-master.sh ./newinstall-qserv-6.0.0rc1-master.sh and because it is using off-the shelf qserv that was not patched, qserv linking fails. If I do source ./eups/bin/setups.sh and eups list, I see doxygen 1.8.2+2 sims b4 Winter2014 current b5 b6 b3 expat 2.0.1 current git 1.8.5.2 b4 Winter2014 current b5 b6 b3 java system current libevent 2.0.16-stable current lua 5.1.4 current luaexpat 1.1 current luasocket 2.0.2 current luaxmlrpc v1.2.1-2 current mysql 5.1.65 current mysqlproxy 0.8.2 current mysqlpython 1.2.3 current numpy system current protobuf 2.4.1 current python system current scons 2.1.0+7 sims b4 Winter2014 current b5 b6 b3 sconsUtils 8.0.0.0 sims b4 Winter2014 current b5 b6 b3 twisted 12.0.0 current virtualenv_python 1.10.1 current xrootd qs5 current zopeinterface 3.8.0 current So I guess qserv installation was marked as failed. And I don't see zookeeper, kazoo and db. Fabrice, do you need to tweak the distribution server to enable zoo/kazoo/db, or it didn't get installed because qserv won't link on my ubuntu 12.04? I thought the out of the box system will install zookeeper, kazoo and db (the DM-58 is marked as done :) ). What am I missing? I don't care about how qserv builds, because I am going to delete it and git clone it anyway (Fabrice, are you thinking about doing it automatically for developers?) We should also refresh README.txt and README-develop.txt, Thanks Jacek ######################################################################## Use REPLY-ALL to reply to list To unsubscribe from the QSERV-L list, click the following link: https://listserv.slac.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=QSERV-L&A=1
