Fabrice at al, I have my own, locally cloned qserv. I expect to use everything from my qserv version. I did not setup qserv.conf, because README.txt says I don't need to for single-node installation: cd $QSERV_DIR/admin # edit qserv.conf, which is the "mother" configuration file from which # configuration parameters will be deployed in all qserv services # configuration files/db # for a minimalist single node install just leave default I do: cd qserv setup -r . rm -rf build scons scons install The problem: I see weird versions of qserv everywhere. /usr/local/home/becla/qserv/1/Linux64/protobuf/master-g832d498170/lib /usr/local/home/becla/qserv/1/Linux64/protobuf/master-g832d498170/lib/python /usr/local/home/becla/qserv/1/Linux64/db/master-ge313c26491+1/python /usr/local/home/becla/qserv/1/Linux64/xrootd/master-gfc9bfb2059 /usr/local/home/becla/qserv/1/Linux64/mysqlproxy/master-g92bb7f6106 /usr/local/home/becla/qserv/1/Linux64/mysql/master-g5d79af2a50 I attached full log with all places where master-gXXXXX shows up. Scripts try to use it for real. e.g., when I run scons from build/dist/admin, I see things like: /usr/local/home/becla/qserv/1/Linux64/mysql/master-g5d79af2a50/bin/mysqladmin This makes me very uneasy. "master-g5d79af2a50" makes no sense, it does not even exist: ls -l Linux64/qserv total 8 drwxrwxr-x 7 becla becla 4096 May 23 18:29 master-ga7082f1e02 drwxrwxr-x 7 becla becla 4096 May 23 18:27 u.fjammes.DM-699-g4ec6034b0e Am I missing something simple, or do we have a larger problem here? I think I'll stop and wait to hear from you and/or others. I feel too lost in all that.
