Hi Lukasz,
Yes - my first instinct was that I was deleting something out from underneath the client (hence why I closed the ticket the first time). To avoid this, I put a future variable in the object that holds the XrdFile (look for OpenHandler::~OpenHandler) and I see it still existing in the traceback. I can certainly do another review of our side to see if there's something problematic.
I haven't looked into the recovery code. Can you think of anything that would cause it to own this memory?
