Thank you Pere for pointing out the warnings. I guess they were buried and we didn't catch them. I have fixed this in git head and it should make it to the final R4 release. However, we can't fix this in 3.3.6 as that is a stable branch and the particular warnings are just that, warnings (i.e. the code will continue to work). That doesn't mean we don't require a clean compilation with C11++, we do..
