Hi Tommaso, I hate to break it to you but you do have something that restarts xrootd. There is absolutely nothing in the RPM that automatically restarts it. Ofcourse, it could be the machine crashed altogether and it restarted itself so you would also see that in the log. I suspect that's what happened and, given your other problems, it could be that you have a flakky machine. Check /var/adm/messages. Is this a VM?
