Dear experts,

I am not sure if this the right place to ask for help. If not, please let me know where I can report my problem.

I am now having problem to start XrdCnsd process on both xrootd 4.0.0 and 4.0.1 (I have no problem on 3.3.6). See below the error messages:

[root@xxx xrootd]# /opt/xrootd/xrootd-prod/bin/XrdCnsd -d -D 2 -i 90 root://xxxxx:1095

140714 09:12:07 11914 Cns_Config: Event path=/tmp/cns/

140714 09:12:07 11914 Cns_Config: Backup path not specified; inventory disabled!

140714 09:12:07 11914 Cns_Config: Cns initialization failed.

If I export "XRDEXPORTS" by hand, it works fine.

[root@xxx xrootd]# export XRDEXPORTS=/atlas

But now the problem is where should I setup XRDEXPORTS? I tried to put it in the configuration file and the start script, both are not working. Would you please help on this?
