Another issue that we saw is that I don’t seem to be able to change the verbose of G4. So adding e.g. /tracker/verbose 4 doesn’t do anything... Having them local can speed up this step. https://confluence.slac.stanford.edu/display/ilc/How+can+I+make+SLIC+look+for+XML+schemas+in+a+local+directory init_ilcsoft.sh sets GDML_SCHEMA_DIR, but you might want to double-check it.
