If you are just plotting the hits from the svt hit list, it should include all hits…or are you are stepping down to the hits from the reconstructedParticles->track->hitsOnTrack? This is still from the mock DSTs, where I think only hits in tracks are available and there is a requirement of at least 5 hits (layers?) per track. I also have the requirement of an Ecal cluster for each track in these plots (which I'd guess is contributing to the box structure at small-y for negative tracks). Maybe each gap in x is coming from a different layer (4,5,6), and the tracking projects them giving the appearance of multiple gaps in one layer? That these gaps are not visible in 1,2,3 (even if I zoom in and bin finer) could be due insufficient resolution in projecting the gaps from 4-6, combined with 1-3 being single-sensor and having no gaps of their own? Do the SVT experts think this all looks reasonable, and just a very accurate simulation:)?
