Hi Jeremy,

I 100% agree that this makes more sense.

There are a few classes of codes where I've added IC to the end to indicate that they work with this clustering. We may think to merge these codes and make sure everything works. It's in the HPSEcalClusterIC class and the HPSReconParticle and ReconParticle (I think Omar's codes).

Hi,

I think perhaps we should cleanup some of the names of the classes for the clustering.

Here is my proposal:

EcalClusterer -> LegacyEcalClusterer <= old cluster maker

EcalClusterIC -> EcalClusterer <= current cluster maker

EcalClusterICBasic -> BasicEcalClusterer <= current cluster maker (basic version)

I think this will make it clearer what these classes actually do.  The last two are not actually "Cluster" implementations as it seems from reading the current names.

Any thoughts/objections?

I can cleanup all relevant steering files if I make this change but I thought it should be discussed first, as I don't want to step on any toes.  :)
