Dear Colleagues,

We have just learned that, yesterday, Martin Perl passed away. I am sure that the many enthusiasts of e+e- physics on this list would like to remember Martin, who was responsible for some of the greatest moments in this subject. It was a privilege for me to be able to learn from him and seek his advice for many years. We will need more physicists like him, who can hear subtle messages from Nature, and have the knowledge and persistence to find the proof that the stories they hear are correct.
