Hmmm, I am not sure if I care in this case... :) The worst thing that can happen is that a log message will be lost. I could use atomics, but this would cause unnecessary CPU cache flushes. I will likely leave it as it is, unless you really want it fixed, in which case I would welcome a suggestion on how without a significant performance overhead.
