Ben's doc is for the SSP data. You can look in 
org.hps.readout.ecal.SSPData to see the state of the data parser, if you 
haven't already. Andrea has been doing all of that work. Talk to him.

Are you also asking about the ECal readout data to compare against the SSP 
information? The ECal hits are fully represented in LCIO. 
EcalRawConverterDriver accesses all of this data so you should be able to 
use it as an example.

ECal MC does not know about the SSP data format or mode 7. If you need 
those, they will need to be added to the simulation.
