ok, but I had understood xrootd 4.1 would have been updatable from 3.x via
yum update (no more need to ask for the xrootd4 packages).
At the moment, I cannot see it ... I have

[root@stormgf2 ~]# rpm -qa|grep xrootd
xrootd-client-libs-3.3.6-1.el6.x86_64
xrootd-cmstfc-1.4.3-3.osg.el6.x86_64
xrootd-libs-3.3.6-1.el6.x86_64
xrootd-server-libs-3.3.6-1.el6.x86_64
xrootd-3.3.6-1.el6.x86_64

and this does not update to anything.

Instead, I see as in (*): no xrootd4

so, where is xrootd4.1?
I have for epel:
[epel]
name=Extra Packages for Enterprise Linux 6 - $basearch
#baseurl=http://download.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/6/$basearch
mirrorlist=
https://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/metalink?repo=epel-6&arch=$basearch
failovermethod=priority
enabled=1
gpgcheck=1
gpgkey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-EPEL-6

thanks

tom
