Since this is not a production machine and we're not yet running our own
fault tolerance, RAID is better.  Once we have our own replication and
fault tolerance handling, we should consider JBOD.

I thought at one point we were considering having one MySQL server
instance (worker node) per spindle, rather than having to manage the
data distribution internal to a MySQL instance.
