qserv-admin.py is still supposed to work (but might need some fixing to understand
new-style configuration). I guess RESTORE was not tested after JSON was introduced,
open a ticket if something fails.
Cheers,
Andy

Well, maybe I’m wrong… I’m in the process of moving to JSON to see if it helps. By the way, is qserv-admin.py deprecated? Running RESTORE <file>; from qserv-admin.py is totally broken when the dump file contains JSON...

Hi Serge,
I thought it should be backward-compatible, meaning that if JSON is not
found there it would try to read old-style data. Daniel should know better.
I don't think there is a documentation for JSON structure yet, but you can
try to look at admin/qservAdmin.py module to see what it does.

Andy

Daniel,
I just figure out why my copy of master is hosed. master expects CSS metadata in JSON format, and I still have the old key-value stuff in zookeeper. Is there a docs page on the expected structure of the JSON so I can translate it?
Cheers,
Serge

Hey all,
The xrootd death happened because Tatiana had a small typo in her query (scisql_s2PtInPoly should be scisql_s2PtInCPoly). As Fritz surmised, this led to an uncaught std::runtime_error and subsequent worker death. Since Fritz is in the
process of fixing this, hopefully we can just wait for his changes to land.
However, there are bigger problems. First of all, master doesn’t build for me. I get this error:

More serious is that after having hacked around that, even the simplest count(*) query just hangs forever. I see this in the worker log:
