HI all,
after a fresh update the hps-java building fails, on two different
machines (at SLAC and on my home cloud), with the following error:

everything was working until the end of last week (for sure I installed the code
afresh on friday, and it was compiling - yesterday it was compiling as
well, but I don't recall to have updated the code or not).
