Dear Glen,

I already replace the magnets to rectangular bends as presented at LCWS2014.

After LCWS2014, the BDS beamline was modified to be able to extend to ECM=1TeV.
For 1TeV operation, most of magnets for ECM=500GeV can reuse,
and magnets (bends, quads and sexts) will add to beamline by using same tunnel geometry.

Furthermore, the bending system for polarimeter and energy spectrometer,
the horizontal emittance growth by SR was 12% at ECM=1TeV.
Then, the bending system was lengthened to be 3%
(dog-leg was 4% by J.Jones and D.Angal-Kalinin at IPAC10).

Since the specification of the extraction kicker was difficult,
the tuning dump line was changed to be easy to abort.

Sincerely,

Toshiyuki OKUGI, KEK

Dear Colleagues,

Looking over the bend descriptions for the energy collimation and final focus sections of the lattices, they all appear in the decks as sector bends (have no edge angles or edge focusing terms defined). According to Mark, they have been this way since the dawn of time (in original transport decks). IĒm assuming we donĒt actually intend to build them all as sector bends, rather as yawed rectangular bends in the usual way (with half edge-angles at each face)? Does anybody have any memory of this issue? Just wondering what to release as the TDR decks- changing to rectangular bends will require re-matching everything...

Regards,

- Glen.
