Alright, I'll try to update again (did so this morning) and i'll try again. On Wed, Apr 15, 2015 at 9:34 PM, McCormick, Jeremy I. <[log in to unmask]> wrote:Hi, again.
It is likely that you just need to rebuild the monitoring-app jar from trunk to solve this (3.3.0-SNAPSHOT should be the current version after the release Monday), as I cannot reproduce the problem. This property and its associated methods were removed completely including from from the default configuration.
In my bin jar from a clean copy of trunk, saving a “clean” property file, closing the app, and then loading it works fine.

Probably just an old config with settings that were removed from the app....
If you manually setup these settings you want to use, save a new prop file, and reload it, does that work?Hi Jeremy,
I'm trying to load the monitoring app with some pre-defined settings as follows:
java -jar hps-monitoring-app-3.2-SNAPSHOT-bin.jar -c settings.file
The monitoring starts up but then crashes with the following error:
MonitoringApplication failed to initialize without errors!java.lang.RuntimeException: Property SaveLayout is missing a get method.at org.hps.monitoring.application.model.AbstractModel.firePropertiesChanged(AbstractModel.java:63)...Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerExceptionat org.hps.monitoring.application.model.AbstractModel.firePropertiesChanged(AbstracModel.java:59)... 5 more
I'm able to save a file, however, I still see the same error when doing so.
I was able to reproduce the same error by doing the following:
* Open the monitoring app.* Save a settings file with the defaults loaded* Close the monitoring app and run the command above
