Hi Annie,

I think the file where the crystal spacing is specified in the lcsim trunk here:
lcsim-trunk/detector-framework/src/main/java/org/lcsim/detector/converter/compact/HPSEcal3Converter.java

I think the relevant lines are lines 40 and 41, but the units are not described here (probably mm?). Reading further down the code, the code uses these variables to specify the location of each crystal.

We should probably write a way to specify this gap from the compact.xml detector description in the future.

Dear all,

As you all probably know, few weeks ago the survey showed that the Ecal is
actually not in the place that is designed. So to make appropriate
modifications of course I need your help. First of all, probably, I need
to know where is the geometry defined for crystals, how it's defined and
so on.
If you know what needs to be done about this please respond.

Best,
Annie.
