Good Morning Holly, HPSEcal3Conveter.java is the code which takes input from the compact.xml and transforms it into the format needed for the output lcdd file. You need to compile your changes into the executable jar file and then run the code as usual. You will need to build lcsim and hps-java locally, then follow the instructions at https://confluence.slac.stanford.edu/display/hpsg/Detector+Geometry+Overview I would run it over an existing compact.xml to test that the changes you had intended are reflected in the output lcdd file. Please let me know if you have any further questions. However, I cannot seem to find the instructions for re-generating the geometry. The only instructions I have from confluence are at: https://confluence.slac.stanford.edu/display/hpsg/Detector+Geometry+Overview The file I am changing is the HPSEcal3Conveter.java file. If I make alterations here, how do I generate a new lcdd/compact.xml/gdml? It seems all of the instructions assume that I begin with the compact.xml or lcdd. -Holly ________________________________ Use REPLY-ALL to reply to list To unsubscribe from the HPS-SOFTWARE list, click the following link: https://listserv.slac.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=HPS-SOFTWARE&A=1 ######################################################################## Use REPLY-ALL to reply to list To unsubscribe from the HPS-SOFTWARE list, click the following link: https://listserv.slac.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=HPS-SOFTWARE&A=1
