Hi Andy,
This is all on the XRootD client side, I don't believe it has anything to do with the Castor world. You can easily reproduce this if the OFS open hangs for more than 60 second and then the client retries the open. Of course the pre-requisite is that the user passed only the OpenFlags::Delete in the open request. I'll try it out with a vanilla xrootd.
