Looking through the group disk, I suggest we thinking about deleting the following directories from /u/group/hps/hps_soft ... cmake-2.8.10.2 - should use a site cmake install (presuming one exists) datacat - old software package that can be deleted geant4 - very old Geant4 installation and data hps-java - contains 2G of jar files which should be cleaned up (do we need all these?) netbeans - generally this is something people install and run on their own computers root_* - ideally we would use site installations of ROOT instead but I understand if these should be kept due to special config slic - these are huge due to G4 data but I'm not sure there's a good way around it; there's only two installations there right now I'm not going to touch anything for now but I think cleaning up this area would be good. --Jeremy -----Original Message----- From: [log in to unmask] [mailto:[log in to unmask]] On Behalf Of Jeremy McCormick Sent: Monday, October 05, 2015 1:57 PM To: Nathan Baltzell Cc: hps-software Subject: Re: HPS group dir I'll look into consolidating the G4 data though the older slic install is likely not compatible with the newer files so likely we'd need at least two installs of the data for the time being. Agree on other packages. We should use JLAB site installations whenever possible unless we have some special config that we need to install. Is it possible to get more space for this dir?
