Didn't we determine that this was a problem at the event generator level? SLIC is seeing garbage values in the header data for some events when read via the "standard" lStdHep interface in the LCIO package. (I sent a mail about this a few weeks ago with debug print outs.) I don't know that there's anything which can be done easily to fix this in the simulation code.
