Dear Andy, Marcel Stanitzki and HCal Colleagues, (which I have not defined, but I don't think this lack is a problem at this time).

I'm glad you decided to amplify your considerations and conclusions. They now look to be better substantiated. Thanks for your care in reaching these conclusions.

With best regards, Gene Fisk

Subject: [SID-ALL] SID - HCal Task Force Report

Dear SiD Colleagues,

Please find attached the final report of the HCal Task Force, which recommends that SiD change the HCal baseline technology to scintillator for the active medium.
A draft report has been circulated after LCWS (see also the Newsletter) and has been open for comments by all the members of the consortium.

This report has been discussed in the SiD Executive Committee, and its recommendation has been accepted by the SiD Spokespersons.

We would like to thank Jim Brau (Chair), Marty Breidenbach, and Roger Rusack for their work in investigating this important issue for SiD and for their report.

With best regards,

Marcel and Andy
